Protection from MAINS supply voltage errors: |
- If the mains voltage fluctuates beyond 210 - 240 VAC, provide a CVT (Constant Voltage Transformer) of suitable rating.
- Sometimes there may be spikes generated on the mains supply due to some other heavy equipment like Air conditioner, Copying machine, electric motor or transformers connected on the same line. This may cause memory corruption. Spike suppressors may be used in the circuit for protection.

Protection from HEAT: The electronic system circuits produce heat which needs to be dessipated. Therefore it needs proper ventilation. Avoid keeping it in a closed cupboard without ventilation. Keep it away from heat sources like sunlight, electric bulbs, etc. |
Protection from MOISTURE: Moisture deposits on the PCBs and causes short circuits. Keep the telecom system away from steam, moist walls, water pipes, etc. |
Protecting from DUST: In an AC room, there is hardly any dust. If the
electronic
system cannot be kept in an AC room, keep it in an environment which is relatively dustfree. The dust from the environment that settles on the PCBs absorbs moisture from the air and becomes sticky. This eventually is responsible to cause a short circuit and damage the PCBs.
Preventive maintainance: It is always better to regularly maintain your
electronic
system by cleaning it free from dust and applying a non-conducting protective moisture repellent spray.
